Based on a largely renewable and robust energy matrix, the state of São Paulo took another significant step towards a low-carbon economy during the SP + Verde Agenda Summit, which took place this week on the 4th and 5th.
The event, promoted by the Government and City Hall of São Paulo in partnership with USP (University of São Paulo), brought together political leaders, experts, and representatives from the productive sector to discuss the strategic role of low-emission hydrogen in decarbonizing the economy and meeting global climate goals.
Green hydrogen and international cooperation at the center of discussions
In the panel “Low-Carbon Hydrogen and International Cooperation,” one of the highlights of the second day of the event, the opportunities for Brazil to consolidate an integrated national strategy for the sector were debated, taking advantage of its renewable base and strengthening partnerships with countries and multilateral organizations.
With thematic axes focused on energy transition, green finance, and the circular economy, the SP + Verde Agenda reaffirms São Paulo's role as a hub of innovation and leadership in the Latin American climate agenda, anticipating trends and solutions towards COP30.
