GWM Brasil presented, during COP30 in Belém (PA), the first hydrogen-powered boat in Latin America — a technological milestone that reinforces the country's progress on the decarbonization agenda and the adoption of clean mobility solutions. The vessel was exhibited at the Hydrogen Complex, a space set up at the Port Quay to integrate innovation, sustainability, and practical demonstrations of the use of hydrogen as an energy vector.

Developed by GWM in partnership with Grupo Náutica, JAQ, Itaipu Parquetec, and GWM Hydrogen powered by FTXT, the Explorer H1 boat was the highlight of the Complex. At 36 meters, the vessel was designed to offer an immersive and completely carbon-emission-free navigation experience. During COP30, all its systems — lighting, air conditioning, kitchen, entertainment, and operational support — operated using batteries integrated into the hydrogen system, and are now entering the final testing phase for 100% hydrogen-powered operation.

The Hydrogen Complex became the official meeting point for partner companies, hosting meetings and thematic activations focused on clean energy. In addition to the boat, GWM's presence at COP30 was reinforced by the supply of 100 electrified vehicles to international authorities and delegations, consolidating the automaker as a global benchmark in electrification and sustainability-oriented innovation.
