The Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) will announce, on September 22, 2025, the official launch of the Brazilian Hydrogen Portal, in partnership with the Energy Research Company (EPE). The initiative, which will be presented at an exclusive event in the EPE auditorium in Rio de Janeiro, with a live broadcast, fulfills Brazil's commitment at the 2021 UN High-Level Dialogue on Energy and reinforces Brazil's leading role in the decarbonization agenda.
Platform centralizes data and strategies for the hydrogen market
The new portal will bring together strategic information and analyses aligned with the axes of the National Hydrogen Program, covering everything from the scientific-technological foundation and professional training to energy planning and the strengthening of the legal and regulatory framework. With support from EPE and funding from the UK-SIP program, via the Inter-American Development Bank, the platform promises to foster neo-industrialization, open markets, and increase the competitiveness of hydrogen in Brazil, consolidating the country as a global benchmark in the transition to a low-carbon economy.
