On October 20th, the National Industrial Training Service of Pernambuco (SENAI-PE) inaugurated SENAI Park, an innovation and technology park located in the Suape Industrial Port Complex, in Ipojuca, in the Metropolitan Region of Recife. This initiative, the first of its kind in the state, was created with the mission of bridging the gap between industry, science, and technology, promoting solutions to strategic challenges facing the national economy and strengthening Pernambuco's innovation ecosystem.

The park connects companies, universities, and research institutes in battery and sustainable hydrogen projects.

Occupied on a 1.4-hectare site, SENAI Park was designed to house companies from different sectors, researchers, and educational institutions in a shared and flexible environment, with pilot plants that allow for the validation of solutions before their adoption on an industrial scale. Among the first projects underway, two stand out: the development of a national prototype of lithium batteries for hybrid vehicles, involving companies such as Moura, Stellantis, and Volkswagen; and the digitalization of the sustainable hydrogen production chain, in partnership with Siemens, White Martins, and Hytron. Combined, initial investments have already reached R$100 million, with expectations of tripling in the coming years.

The inauguration consolidates the strategy initiated in 2022 to form an innovation cluster in Suape, transforming the region into a hub of industrial and technological competitiveness. Linked to the SENAI Institute of Innovation for ICTs, the park differentiates itself from conventional laboratories by bringing together cutting-edge infrastructure, such as a 100 kW electrolyzer, hydrogen storage systems, and pilot battery production lines, enabling the full cycle of new technologies to be tested. For SENAI-PE, the park not only accelerates the application of research to industrial reality, but also prepares professionals, develops suppliers, and strengthens strategic partnerships that can reposition the Northeast as a leading player in the low-carbon economy.
