Brazilian energy planning gains a new space for reflection and articulation with the holding of the XV Brazilian Congress of Energy Planning (CBPE), a meeting that brings together researchers, public policy makers, sector executives, and specialists from various fields of knowledge to discuss the direction of the national energy system. Promoted by the Brazilian Society of Energy Planning, the event consolidates itself as one of the main technical forums in the country dedicated to the integrated analysis of energy policies, technological innovation, and decarbonization strategies.

Energy planning, climate, and territorial development

The congress seeks to highlight how decisions on infrastructure, energy sources, and technologies can contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, while also considering social, cultural, and economic impacts on affected communities. By bringing together academia, the productive sector, and policy makers, the meeting aims to stimulate solutions that reconcile energy security, sustainable development, and social justice, reinforcing the idea that the energy transition requires strategic planning, interdisciplinary dialogue, and a long-term vision.
