Brazil is advancing the consolidation of its low-carbon hydrogen economy with the inaugural Brazilian Hydrogen Seminar (SBH2), organized by the Brazilian Hydrogen Association (ABH2). The event will take place on August 13 and 14, 2026, at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR) Polytechnic Center in Curitiba, bringing together researchers, professors, students, and professionals from science and technology institutes, companies, startups, and industry representatives. More than just an academic gathering, SBH2 was created with the mission of integrating scientific knowledge, technological innovation, and industrial development, fostering an environment conducive to skills development and the strengthening of the national hydrogen value chain.

Integration of science, industry, and innovation drives the future of hydrogen in Brazil

Held in conjunction with the 3rd Paraná Hydrogen Symposium (SIMPHI), SBH2 significantly expands opportunities for networking, scientific cooperation, and the development of Research, Development, and Innovation (RD&I) projects. The initiative reinforces the strategic role of universities as generators of knowledge and drivers of technological entrepreneurship, bringing together researchers, companies, and investors around solutions capable of accelerating economic decarbonization. By creating an environment focused on technology transfer, the training of highly qualified human resources, and the establishment of long-term partnerships, the Seminar positions itself as a key milestone in boosting Brazilian competitiveness and establishing the country as a leading player in the emerging global hydrogen economy.
