The launch of the 2026 Mining and Energy Projects Book, prepared by the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME), presents the market with a structured overview of investment opportunities in the Brazilian energy and mineral sector. The document consolidates already mapped and potential projects, offering a strategic vision for national and international investors interested in participating in the expansion of energy infrastructure, sustainable mineral exploration, and the advancement of low-carbon technologies in the country.
Renewables, hydrogen, and strategic minerals at the center of the agenda
The survey points to more than R$ 1 trillion in investments already identified, with the capacity to generate approximately 3 million jobs, in addition to an estimated additional potential of R$ 4 trillion by 2035. The portfolio includes projects in renewable energies—driven by high solar incidence, vast areas with wind potential, and ample water availability—as well as initiatives in biofuels, critical and strategic minerals, low-emission hydrogen, and low-carbon hydrogen.
By structuring these opportunities in a consolidated format, the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) seeks to reduce information asymmetries, increase regulatory predictability, and accelerate the attraction of capital to segments considered vital to industrial competitiveness and the decarbonization of the Brazilian economy. The Book positions Brazil not only as possessing natural advantages, but as a protagonist in the global race for investments linked to the energy transition.
